Shelby Baker

M.A., CCC-SLP

Shelby Baker, M.A., CCC-SLP, holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology both from the University of Kansas. She is state licensed in Colorado and nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Shelby specializes in bilingual speech and language therapy and is a fluent speaker of Spanish. She has experience working with families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including clients from Mexico, Central and South America, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Democratic Republic of Congo. Shelby has experience providing therapy to children from infancy to school-age with a variety of special needs, which include developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury, Spina Bifida, vision impairment, hearing impairment, and Cerebral Palsy. Her favorite part about being a speech therapist is connecting with children and their families and empowering both to achieve their goals. In her free time, Shelby enjoys the Colorado outdoors by hiking, skiing, camping, playing tennis and golf, and exploring the Denver area with her dog, Hazel. She also loves spending time with her husband, family, and friends, traveling, listening to live music, and cheering on her Jayhawks!
