Laurin Epstein

Laurin has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 23 years. She comes with experience in schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and private clinics, but her greatest love has always been home health. She believes this setting results in the greatest progress as she can work with the children and their families together to best support their daily needs in their natural environment. She has devoted her career to working with adults and children with significant disabilities, with a passion for working with children who are nonverbal or minimally verbal, and require the use of communication devices. She loves being able to give a voice to people who would otherwise have no means to communicate. Her love of food also gives her a passion for working with patients with feeding disorders, as she realizes how important eating is both to health and socialization.

Laurin loves to learn and grow, and is a natural leader who has educated and mentored other clinicians throughout her career. She understands that to be a good leader, she has to continue to develop her own skills. She also loves that by educating others, she has a greater reach to help improve the lives of even more children than who she could work with on her own.

When she is not working, Laurin enjoys spending time with her two adult children. She also loves being outdoors, whether hiking and camping, playing on the water, or sitting on a patio listening to live music.
