I first became interested in the field of speech language pathology as an English major in college, when I took “Child Language Acquisition” as one of my required linguistics courses. Fast forward 15 years, and the complex ways in which children develop communication skills continue to fascinate me.
After working as an ABA therapist for 2 years post-college, I earned my Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, MA in 2013. Since becoming a certified SLP, I have worked in schools and private practice settings treating children and adolescents with a wide range of communication and feeding disorders. I have many years of experience working with children with ASD, complex/multiple disabilities, and unique communication profiles (including AAC users).
I moved from Boston to Colorado Springs in 2019 and am thoroughly enjoying a change of pace in the mountains. I joined the FRPT team in early 2021 and am thrilled to be able to help more families in the Springs when not serving students in a local charter school. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, camping, and (even better!) camp cooking with my fiancé and our 2 little adventure dogs Bennie and Oscar.
