I have been practicing in the field of Speech Language Pathology for over 25 years in Colorado Springs. I graduated from Southern Illinois University / Edwardsville with my masters in Speech Language Pathology. I have worked in the hospital system, long term care, schools, early intervention and outpatient rehab. I have loved being able to experience, learn and grow as a therapist. I started a private practice over 10 years ago serving children in their natural environment and I strongly believe this is where i was supposed to focus the rest of my career. I see so much good in working with children in their home, with their siblings and parents involved.
My passion and background is in feeding and dysphagia. As a mom who experienced having a premie child with significant feeding issues, I bring a sympathetic understanding to the frustrations and heartache. I feel strongly that working on feeding issues in the home brings better results long term.
I feel so blessed to be living in the beautiful state of Colorado. I never take for granted the serene view of the mountains. Although I wasn’t born and raised here, I call Colorado home. I have two grown twin children who continue to inspire me. I have discovered that the most important job one has is being a good parent.
